Hi, everyone. My girlfriend and I are proud parents of 6 week old male fawn puppy. We got him almost a week ago and we love him already. We are working on the basic house stuff since we are aware that he is still a baby!!

Welcome to BW!! Congratulations on your new baby. Yall brought him home at 5 weeks old???? That is sooo young. They really need to stay with their mother and littermates until at least 8 weeks to learn very necessary things such as bite inhibition. I'm sure you will learn lots about all of these things here on BW. There are lots of threads on how to teach him these things yourself now that he is with you. This is very important for him to learn not to bite humans, not hard anyway!! All puppies will bite, it is natural, but he will need to learn the difference in a bite and a "soft" bite. Good luck and I can't wait to hear more about your baby and to see some pictures!!

Thanks for the advice, we were aware that he is still young to be away from his mommy, but we are trying to comfort him in every way. The breeder that I got it from had an unexpected litter, therefore they were still getting situated when the pups came around, so that is the reason why they were selling them so early. My boy looked very healthy when I got him and his still looks excellent.

Welcome to you and your new baby from Deeg and I in Oregon!! I can't hardly wait to see pictures of you new puppy. I hope you enjoy BW as much as I have. BW has really helped me with our rescue boy Deeg and the loss of my boxer girl Magic. Take care and welcome!
