Hi there! I am a new boxer mom...and SO glad I found this site! What a wealth of info I have found...
We just got our boxer this weekend..and I am soo in love with him already. He is a 9 week old fawn..with a white stripe down his face, and 4 white legs...so very cute!
So far we seem to be adjusting really well. We have 3 children..and everyone seems to be getting along great. Potty training has gone smoothly...no accidents at all...I think he has me trained already!
I do have a question...our Moogie seems to be a bit stand offish...not all the time...but for example, if we are outside and I call him, I clap and get down and coax him to me, and he usually comes..which I praise in a big way, but when he comes he usually walks slowly..not bounding and running like you would expect from a puppy...he also doesn't get very excited when I praise him for doing his business.....which I guess if he is doing it I shouldn;t worry.....but I thought boxers were such little entertainers, so I guess I assumed he would be a high energy guy all the time....any thoughts on this?...Sometimes I feel like I am talking to him and trying too hard......he just looks at me like he is annoyed...and I am crazy.......thanks for any advise!
