Hello and welcome to Boxerworld :) Congratulations on the new pup! I'm sure you'll find this a great place to meet and chat with other boxer lovers from around the world. I hope you enjoy the site :)

PS: For the diarrhoea, try a bland diet of some boiled chicken and rice. That's usually quite helpful for tummy upsets. Having a vet take a bit of a look at him, and keeping a good eye on his fluid intake is a good idea.

cause for the runs

if it isn't anything seriouse it might just be if you have him on a different food than his previouse home had that sometimes gives them diarreah, you are supposed to start mixinga little new food type with old type every day for 7 days until its all the new food type so that they get used to it over time.

Hello and welcome to BW :D
Enjoy the puppy times they grow up way to quickly! Take lots of pictures, As for the little chaps problems, we went through something similar and found a bland diet of boiled fish and rice really helped, then slowly started to introduce a good quality kibble. Wish you luck!

Hello and welcome,Congratulations on your new baby!! I agree that chicken & rice is a great remedy, but try adding a little cornflour to it, as it acts as a 'binding agent'...our vet recommended this to us when Millie was a puppy, and was suffering really badly with 'the runs', and it really worked. Sometimes, when they are puppies, it takes a while to find a suitable diet, but if it continues, it's best to seek vetinary advice. Looking forward to hearing all about your little one soon!!!

Boxer Pal
great big thank yous

thank you everybody for your advice, sadly to say our bay Hagler (after the boxer Marvin-great name.) is at the vet at the moment the runs got really bad with alittle hint of blood. He is progressing well they have him on fluids and we are hoping to have him back home within the next 2 days. He seems to have gone off his food, so until he starts eating again the vet wants to keep him there. He is in the best of hands i know, but its so hard even though we have only had him for 5 days. He is part of the family. Also all your information on kibble etc with the yoghurt(i presume-naturel) is of soooo much help. We had him on science plan with a little pedigree meat mixed. But can you please tell me what is kongs, i dont mean to sound ignorant. Once again thank you everyone for your advice and thoughts.
