Wally and Reub--I'm in Iowa City too and have a 16 week old boxer male!

I work in Des Moines right now and am living away from my family for the next 6 weeks and I saw a boxer out on a walk and I almost drove off the road because I was so distracted (and missing my own guy!!)!

Woohoo! gracie&cam I've been lurking for fellow Iowa Citians for a while now - if only they'd hurry with that dog park they've been talking about for years....

I totally agree about the dog park--any parks or places your boys like to go? I live over in south east iowa city and I've been hesitant to explore many parks with my boy because he's so young (and there's a very strong-looking pitbull that lives in the neighborhood, though I have nothing against pitbulls, he just looks strong!!). My friend and her golden like over by the soccer fields/cross country course with the trail that meets highway 6. My boy's no good off leash so it's mostly backyards for us! I'd love to meet your guys sometime....glad to "meet" you here!

We don't go off-leash either, my boys are good with recall but not perfect and I just don't want to take any chances.
