I just wanted to post my introduction. I am the the VERY proud new mom of 5 and 1/2 months now, named Princess Alexis Paige. Her father and I waited 6 and 1/2 of the longest weeks to get her after we first saw her. I have to say, despite the drooling, eye boogers, farts, and incredible ability to get into ANYTHING, I have the best dog I have ever met in my life. She amazes me everyday with her affection and intelligence, as well as, her youthful curiosity that allows me to discover new things all the time with her. At her young age (about 30 weeks), she already knows sit, down, stay, dance, paw, other paw, high five and the "get it" game, amongst other things. I can't wait to see what she has in store for me. I only hope that we are able to give her the amazing gift of joy that she delivers to us every waking second. Thanks for reading about us, and we're happy to see all the the loving kindred spirits !

Hiiii!!! and welcome in our big family....this too is my first time with boxers....and I must say she (daisy) is such a fun at the moment she is very interested in the cat's tail...long...fury....AND IT MOOOOOVES!!! unfortunately the cat is not of the same advise.... but i'm really curious int the futher developments

New owner myself just this weekend!

Hello everyone, I just want to introduce you to myself and tell you how we became boxer owners. A very sad story but a happy ending I hope for her.
Her new name is Ebby Girl, thanks to my husband, she seem to already answer to it. Anyway, I recieved a e-mail at work on Friday, with a picture of her attached, the e-mail stated that someone had just dropped her off in their quite well to do neighborhood, just shoved her out of the truck! Well since they have someone in the family that is allergic to dogs, I immediately called my husband and ask if he wanted to go get her. Of course he said yes. To make a long story short, we went to get her that night and immediately fell in love. Ebby is a reddish brown color, with a small patch of white on the chest and one toe on the back foot. Her face is black up to the eyebrows. I know about raising Dobermans, but have never had a boxer.
Ebby seems to love kids, as I have 5 grandkids, rangeing from 2 to 12, so far the 2, 3 and 9 year old have meet her and seem to do fine. I have a couple of questions about Boxer attitudes around rambuctious kids, Will Ebby get along with them or will they make her nervous? The other question is how are they on being outside dogs? Should we keep her in the house? We have another dog that has never slept in the house, of course he is very jealous! For now we keep them in seperate sections of the yard, as we think she is in heat. If someone could guide me to a great handbook on Boxers, I would be very grateful. Looking forward to the fun we will have with her. She is already very good on a leash, so here goes my weight loss program!
