I've been a new boxer mom for about two months. My little baby is about five months old and is a beautiful little brindle girl. I was lucky enough to find her (she found me). After having her scanned and calling everyone i could think of for a month, no one claimed her and she is officially mine. I love her with all my heart. Nice to be here and talk to you guy. Does anyone have experiance with PDA in their pup? I am going to, unfortunately, have to deal with this with my little angel. Please let me know what to expect if you know. Thanks! Cami's mom.

From your introduction I gathered you took in a lost pup. Good for you!!!!
And good luck with the PDA, I don't have any dog experience with it, only babies.

Welcome to Boxer World from Georgia.

I'm going to sound stupid here and I'm sure it will hit me as soon as I send this message but I'm gonna ask - what's PDA??

Thank you all from Cameron and myself!!!

I'm in the Columbia area, by the way. My little baby is around 5 1/2 months old; not so sure since she found me. Here's a website that explains PDA pretty well... http://www.upei.ca/~cidd/Diseases/cardiovascular diseases/PDA.htm. In a nut shell, Camerson's little heart valves didn't close properly after she was born so she's having excess blood flow to her lungs and her heart is working double time to get blood thru her little body. Dogs with this usually don't live past 2 years depending on the severity and Cameron's is pretty severe, the vet thinks, so she's setting her up with a cardiologist. I've been told to keep her calm and as inactive as possible. HAHAHA! You all know that's like trying to keep the sun from rising. She may need surgery to close the valve. Please pray that it's not as bad as we think and for her healing and, if not, pray for the means for me to give her the surgery. I am glad that someone dumped her off because now she's getting the love and care she was born to have and desperately deserves. She's absolutely a treasure to me and i'll post pics hopefully next week. Thank you all again for your support and prayers!!! Danielle and Cameron
