I'm glad to hear that Sayge's tests are back to normal. That's a good first step. I know how hard it is to stay positive. I must admit that there were many times when I broke down and Cadence was always there to lick my tears away. Through it all, my little girl was strong for me and I for her. You and Sayge will be the same way. Just don't give up. Even if you get answers that you don't want, DON'T GIVE UP!!! It's still not the end. Always think about Freckles and Asia, who also had a horrible journey but her story turned out fine. You and Sayge can beat this. Just understand that this journey is full of ups and downs and you take them as they come. One day at a time. Remember that we are all here for you and Sayge. There are a lot of very devoted people here at BW that I consider my friends, even though I've never met them. They helped me through my whole ordeal with Cadence and are now sharing in my joy with Colby and Skye. You and Sayge are in my prayers and Colby and Skye send Sayge lots of get well wiggles.

Glad to hear that Sayge tests were normal. AWESOME JOB SAYGE!!! Hang in there Rhonda.

Tomorrow is Freckles' CCB test. We will see how low her white blood count is. I am hoping that it will not be too bad if not we have to start her on antibiotics to help her immune system.

Right now ~ I give my baby so much credit with all the pills that she has to take. She is soooo cute.. She opens her mouth for us to let us give her medicine. We just have to be careful and make sure that she does not hide them in her cheeks so she can spit them out later on.

It is rough but they are worth every minute.

I laughed when you said she hides the pills in her cheeks - they have soo much extra skin there they can hide about anything!! And you are right - they do spit them out later. Sayge is on antibiotics right now (prophylactic) for suspected UTI. She takes her pills ok but does hide them sometimes.
Let us know how Freckles tests come out. Do you have a pic of Freckles? I posted the avatar of Sayge yesterday. Sending good boxer vibes from me and Sayge.

Let us know how Freckles' test comes out. I'm anxious to hear. I feel like I'm waiting for both Sayge and Freckles' tests as if they're my own dogs! Sorry--don't mean to hog them!! I just can't help but feel so good for you two that things are working out for you both with Sayge and Freckles. I always my Cadence to keep them safe. Looks like it might be working! Sayge is beautiful, Rhonda! What a pretty girl...I can't wait to see Freckles and Pepper!
Cadence used to take her meds really well for me, too. After a while, they just learn to I guess. She used to like hers wrapped in a small piece of bread and then dipped in yogurt! She wasn't too spoiled!
Keep me updated, girls! Give those babies lots of kisses for Colby, Skye, and I!

Freckles Update

Freckles results were good. Everything looks normal. All the medicine seems to be working. We just take it one day at a time.

Her white blood count was normal so she did not suffer too much from the last chemo session. Thank Goodnes.

I tried to upload the photo but it didn't seem to take. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I'll try again later.

I'm so glad to hear Freckles' tests came back fine!! Hooray!!!
I hope she does well on the new meds. Has she started those yet? If not, good luck with those. I wish you all the best with Freckles. She's one amazing little girl! It gives me comfort to know that not everybody has to down the path that Cadence and I went down. I guess God just needed a little Boxer angel more than I did!!

Great news Denise. Your girl is really something!! I went back and was reading through this thread and you have been so amazing through all of this. There is no doubt in my mind that you are so much of the reason Freckles is doing so wonderful. She is a lucky girl.

Now, you really have to get her photo up. I am dying to see that little face!!!

Nicole and Elyse, your dogs are really cute. I just looked in the gallery. I haven't figured out how to upload yet but when I do i will post more of Sayge. Denise, I am glad Freckles is handling the chemo so well and her tests have been good. I couldn't get an appt for consult for surgery until 8/5 so we have to wait until then. I am keeping her quiet and hoping nothing happens in the meantime. Watching her very close. There aren't alot of board certified surgeons in our area. I want her to have the best doctor.
It must have been heartbreaking when Cadence was sick. She was sooo young. At least you got to know her and she was probably meant to go to you because you would be the one to provide the best care.
Well, Sayge gives a stub wag to all her new friends. Thanks so much for being there for us.
