[Wooof Wooof]

Ok my other dog is a shepered mix and he gets quite agresive when we try to put him in the car or groom him. Does anybody have any ideas on what we should use to sedate him so he will not be so stressed out when I brush him or take him somewhere

Rescue Remedy & Comfort Zone with D.A.P

I've heard of drops called Rescue Remedy, it's supposed to have a calming effect on dogs & cats. There's also this plug-in thing that PetsMart sells called Comfort Zone with D.A.P, it's said to help calm dogs & deter bad behavior. I've never used either one personally but you could do a search for them in previous threads to see if anyone had any success.

thank you our dog is over 100 pounds so i don't want to give him something that will bearly effect him or something that could do more damage that just calm him down. I will look into those products.

i have a 115# akita and he loves going in the car but to groom him can be a problem i found if walk him or run him real good about a hour beforhand he is much calmer................

I am not sure about the car ride, but when your pup is slepy, then I would attempted to groom him.

We use Benadrylwhen we travel Jake weights 95lbs we geve him 2 - 25mg each.

Have you tried grooming him with one of those hand mitts? It might feel like you are just patting him and maybe he wont mind
