please help my little boy (6months) found a packet of sparklers(fireworks) while we was out and when we got home he had been sick and had the runs dont think he took much as there were crumbs of the sparkler on his bed, the vet said to keep an eye on him, he is laying here beside me and he looks soo sad he is also dribbling a lot, the vet said he was trying to get rid of the taste in his mouth. im starving him now, he is drinking ok, any advice?

We are sending healing vibes from Alabama. I would stay in touch with the vet. I'm sure those sparklers were toxic. I would also watch him very carefully. Best of luck

Bless his heart! I tell you they can find stuff I thought was gone years ago!:eek:
I would just keep in touch with the vet...I'm thinking ice cubes to help get the taste out of his mouth...Good Luck!

thank you for your thoughts, biffa looks much better he is drinking well and not dribbling as much im still watching him very carefully though. i gave him a small bit of food and he has kept that down so hopefully all is ok. thanks again. jane

Hi. If it will comfort you at all, my dog ate an entire bag full of fireworks one time. She had an upset stomach for awhile, but she was fine after that. I just made sure she had plenty of water and like you are, giving small amounts of food at a time. I'm sure he'll be fine. Hope this makes you feel a little better!

morning everyone thank you for your replys well biffa has just had his breakfast and has stolen my socks he is bombing around the house!!!! im soooo relieved, i was so worried last night but thank god hes alright. as you can imagine now everything is out of reach!! thanks again jane.

Good to hear that Biffa is doing better. I always say everything is out of reach but Maxwell can find the funniest things. I don't even know they exist.

So glad to hear Biffa is feeling better this morning. I cant believe what they will eat sometimes. Atlas use to eat rocks,his own poop,his bed,tablecloths,pillows,curtains,carpet,wood...you name it he would eat it. Thank goodness he is out of that stage now. He even chewed up my DH Oakley sunglasses one time...oops.

I'm so glad Biffa is feeling better! These crazy Boxers! Colby had some petroleum distolate a few weeks ago, which is toxic, and I thought for sure he was going to need the emergency vet. When I called the poison control center, she said oh, he'll be fine...just give him some milk. I gave him more than he needed just in case and he was fine! They love to scare us to death, though! It still amazes me what they can find in the house! I didn't even know we had petroleum distolate! I swear, if something's lost, they can definitely find it!

Now Biffa, no more worrying mommy! Be a good boy and only take her socks!!
