help!!

Ok this is a rather wierd situation so imnot sure if it would go in here or not. this past weekend we had a part at my house and a bunch of my friends came over and brought thier puppies too. in total we had about 6 puppies 3 of them being boxers.the problem is that one of my friends broght along a friend of his and this guy thought it would be funny to dmp beer into the dogs water bowl. ( he dumped the dogs water out and pured appx two beers in it.since braks dog bowls are black we didnt notice anything until one of the puppies started to throw up.thats when we found out what the guy had done.he was laughing and saying stuff like look they like it and they drank it all. needless to say this guy wasnt standing or in my house very long after that.ok and now for the question. will my dog be ok?i know he is one of the ones that drank it because i saw him drinking out of a few times that night but he didnt throw up.he hasnt really been himself since ( not wanting to play and not eating as much)

Vet time

I would call your vet and see what they have to say. If he is not acting normal, that is a sure sign that something is not right. Call you vet ASAP. They will tell you whether or not you need to bring him in.

BTW...call the local ASCPA and have the gentleman investigated for animal cruelty. His actions endangered the life of every animal at that party. It is irresponsible and he should be held accountable.

i have called the vet this am and was told that it may be dehydration?and to try giving him some powerade or something to replenish him?.ive never heard of this but he said he had the same thing a few weeks ago and that it helped a two year old lab that had lapped up a 1/4 of wiskey.im just so p/o that someone would do this to a puppy.i might have to call them and report this guy.i just cant believe noone saw him do it. everyone that knows me knows that i love my animals and they respect that. thats why we always have playtime at my house.i feel guilty for not being able to stop him. i didnt know someone could be that cruel.

I worked with a guy when I was in high school who would give his dogs small amounts of beer when we had parties. It never seemed to have a negative effect on them, besides making them a bit tipsy, but I do believe alcohol is one of the items dogs should not have.

Maybe instead of Powerade you should give your dog Pedialyte, they make it in an unflavored (look & tastes like water) version that might be better for your dog. I thing Powerade has alot of sugar, and that can't be good for your pup. And for that moron who gave those innocent pups beer, well I can't say what I want to say on this G rated forum!! What an IDIOT

I was going to suggest Pedialyte as well, and it also comes in freezer pops. Hopefully all will be well with your pup. What a a$$hole! I can't believe he had the nerve to do something like that! On another note, when Herkie was little, we had a cousin come over, and he would sit his 40 OZ beer on the floor....Herkie would always knock it over and drink what he could, and he was always just fine, of course we got it away from him immediately. Sending vibes that your pup is ok!
