Help!!!!

At about 2am My new Puppy Hammer started getting the runs and throwing up, He is 7 weeks old He had is first puppy shot when he was 6 weeks old, I called the vet and cents it is after hours they want $75 just for me to bring him in so they can tell me what is wrong with him, I don't even have $75 to my name. So PLEASE pray for him that he gets better or at least he does not get any worse till I can get him to the vet on Monday morning Do you think it could be Parvo? Or maybe something else?

I know pups will have the runs when they've got parvo, not sure about the throwing up though. Maybe he just ate some spoiled food? :confused: If it is anything like parvo, it can get pretty expensive to treat, be ready for that. (well, now days, anything is expensive!)... I hope it turns out to be nothing much and he gets back to himself soon. Keep us posted.

so sorry to hear your pup is sick, if he is still throwing up and has runny poops, i would consider taking him to the vet very seriously. dogs become dehydrated easily our meathead had an obstruction when we got him and was very lethargic when we got him home, he began vomiting and wouldn't stop for two days. i thought it was becasue of the move, new food, new home etc, this was on a sat, by mon when we went to the vet he was dehydrated and had a sction cup in his tummy. one way to check for dehydration is to press the gums which should be pink, the fingerprint will quickly change back to red in a well hydrated dog but will remain white for a time if he needs water.

also i would be concerned about such a young pup being vacinnated so early. you should give the breeder a call, they should be helpful if one of the pups they sold is sick.

when a puppy has parvo they have the runs they vomit and do not want to eat or drink and will not be active. i wish you all the best and will be praying for your baby.
