I havent been on here in a loooong time - havent had any issues with Lilly in a loooong time - but the last 2 weeks have been awful!!
It started a couple weeks ago when she went into my daughters bedroom & pooped right on top of her bed! It was disgusting!! I scolded her good & put her & the poop outside & things were alright for a couple of days. Within just a few days of the bed incident Lilly started getting on the sofa when she thought we werent looking - a big no-no - so now she is only allowed in the living room when we are in there too. That means that at night when we are sleeping we put the baby gate up to the living room door. Now almost every morning we wake up to a big pile of poo on the kitchen floor. Totally NOT acceptable! The only other option is to kennel her at night & I really dont want to do that.
Some info on Lilly - she was 2 in March & was spayed the first part of September. I dont know if it is possible that that has anythng to do with it, but Im open to any suggestions here!

Thanks
Nicki

I don't know if it will help of not, but...
I have always been told that if something is going on physically with them, everything can change... their eating habits, attitude, maners, everything. So, you may want to have her checked out, her hormones could be all out of whack and she could just be acting out...

Good Luck...

I would agree. If this is a complete behavioral change, there might be something medically causing it. It's worth it to rule that out before consulting a behaviorist.

She could be entering a new cycle in physical developement where eating, playing, drinking and sleeping behaviors can all change. She may need to go poop before bedtime where she never had to before. Her thyroid may have changed. Her metabolic rate may have changed. I don't really see this as a behavioral thing as much as a physical. If she needs to poop sooner in the morning than before, feed her dinner an hour or two later in the eve.

As with any major changes in behaviors, a good trip to the vet is never a bad idea. A test may be needed to check against her most recent normal ranges. That alone can tell a story.

Has her food changed recently? Canidae changed their formula, which we did not know. Maggie had the runs and had a couple of accidents in the house. So even though we had not changed the brand of kibble the manufacturer had made a change.
