help with plant eating pup

Tyson is almost 7 months old and has been eating our queen palms. He has uprooted one and just destroyed another. Is there anything that we can put around the plants that will keep him away. He has also bitten other plants and dug up weed block. He is being left in the backyard at about 7:30 while we are at work and the kids are at school. My daughter will get home at about 12:30 for about an hr then head to work.

Can you not barracade them with a type of temporary fencing. I am at a rental & have had to made a temp fence. I used some plastic trellis which is quite flexible and some bamboo poles to hold it in the ground?

I would agree, keeping her away from the plants is your best bet. Kilby used to eat plants when she was a pup and nothing deterred her.... she even ate a chilli plant and all the chillies and still went back for more. She did grow out of it though.
