Help with major, long term hair loss

My year old female fawn has been losing hair since she was several months old. She has been tested for different forms of mange and all results have come back negative. The only test that came back positive was a fungal infection. She doesn't appear overly itchy but her skin is very dark grey. She also has some really pink skin under her neck and on her toes.

She was treated for the fungal (ringworm) infection with little relief. Is anyone else having similar problems?

I tried posting on one of the forums but got mange discussions which don't really apply hear.

I could really use everyones help. Thanks.

I don't have any suggestions but am interested in others answers to this topic.
My Burtess is now 11 months old and has very thin hair on his underside and dark skin also. On the inside of his rear legs there is a very thin covering of hair but when you run your hand along the areas you can feel the skin.
The hair on the top 3/4's looks normal. None of this seems to bother him though.

Have you had her thyriod checked? Hair loss can be caused by a malfunctioning thyriod. If you have not had it checked or had a simple blood panel done, ask your vet to do a FULL thyriod panal which will check the hormone amounts in the blood.

I don't want to scare you but my last girl had bald patches on her hips for years and we had a "regular" blood panals done at age 10 when we adopted her and her thyriod came back as "low normal" but a year later she was diagnosed with thyriod cancer. It was inoperable and I often wonder if I had pushed for more thorough testing if we could have caught it in time. Now my gal was 12 when we lost her, but I would have liked to have had even more time.
