Chato just turned 5 months. I took him home with me for the holidays. I think it was a big mistake. Up until this point he was a 3 out of 4 dog. Three times outside for everyone inside. Well while at my parents he stayed out side with thier dogs and upon returning I realized he was now a 3:1 dog. Three inside for one outside. Am I going to have to restart his training everytime I take him to my parents or just until he is 100% house trained?

Go back to reinforcing how wonderful it is for him to potty outside. We had some serious rain the past few days; Holly took one look at the stuff coming down and REFUSED to go outside even though she was standing at the door. Well, I knew she couldn't hold it - I found a lake of pee over on the other side of the room. And since then, she has peed twice in the house because, well hey, it's just more convenient than having to go outside and get cold. So we have a minor relapse to deal with. Just go back to the reinforcement and take them out frequently so they get back on the right track.
