Well called the farm store in our town. They said they can't order anything for me and they only carry Bluebarn dog food. Cant even find any info about that one!! Called farmstore about 1 hr away from home and they carry Barlet, or Bartlet Maintenance dog food which is meat based. Dont know how to spell it so I cant look it up for info. Also called our vet they carry-Science diet, Hills, and freeman brands. Anyone know anything bout these?? I know science diet isnt good. Ima go look up the other 2!

Yes we have a feed store, Ill try there in the morning before I go anywhere else. If they dont have anything maybe they could order it for me. All I have ever heard of the farmstore ( our feed store) having is Bluebarn dog food. Which I cant even find any info on online! Thanks!! Ill try there. Wish me luck people!! Ive got to find something that will be the best for our girl! ;-)

Another option would be to have your breeder pick you up a bag of the food she is currently on (at least 2 weeks worth) - then you have a little time to find a good quality kibble. Most of the food manufacturer will accept payment via check or money orders and then send you your shipment once they receive your payment.

Thanks.. I keep asking them what brand and all they keep telling me is puppy kibble. Ill have to try to call them again and ask WHAT BRAND!!!

I wouldn't go with any of those - have you looked into feeding RAW or Home cooked? Those are much better than kibble any day.

This is the route I would go if you can not get a better kibble than the ones you have mentioned. Once you are in the habit it really works out about the same time wise and expense-actually might be cheaper. Good luck

Most, if not all, of the dog food websites have an option to search for stores closest to you using your zip code. Maybe try that and hope that there is something closer to you that you don't realize.

I know that all the people on these forums disgard Eukanuba but Coco LOVES it. When I first got her, she was on Diamond kibble. I just like you, couldn't find it anywhere. So I asked the breeder to give me a bag of it, and I gradually switched her to Purina One. It worked but Coco grew tired of the Purina One. I then switched to Iams. She too grew tired of this. I found this board and thought lets try Canidae. Well...Coco didn't have a good reaction to it. She didn't care for it all that much, but knew it was the only food she was getting so she ate it. Her poop was VERY soft and very stinky. After about a week, she started itching ALOT. She also would wake up in the morning and vomit for no reason. She gets feed 2 times a day with 2 cups of dry food at each time. I asked for advice on here and they told me to give her a night time snack. She still vomitted. I took her to the vet and he said that it was a common side affect from being allergic to her food. He recommended Science Diet's Presrciption Diet or Eukanuba. He too has a boxer and he's fed him a combination of Science Diet and Eukanuba her whole life and they haven't had any problems with it. I put Coco on Eukanuba large breed puppy formula and she's been fine ever since.

Why large breed? Did you only try Canidae? Natural Balance makes two different allergy formulas. There are a handful of much, MUCH better brands you can have her on than Eukenuba. It's quite possible that your vets dogs have not ever had a reaction to it but it still doesn't make it a good food. Thank you all for your help! Ive decided to wait until we go to pick her up Thursday and see what her Breeder has been giving her. Ill stick to whatever they've been doing and gradually change her. Haven't looked much into the RAW or BARF Diet. Ill check it out some more before I go get her. Our vet carries a brand named Wellness. Which I actually saw on JB pet and it looks to be the best that I can find. Our vet reccommends Eukanuba also. I tried the thing where you can look for stores near where I am. You wouldn't beleive me probably, but theres nothing even remotly close to us. We live in Southwest Va and everything is up in Northern Va that I can find. :-( Ill figure something out. Im gonna go do some research on Wellness....I'll let you all know how it goes! And what we end up using. Thanks for all your help!
