Help, weird thing on neck.

I am new to the board and would like to know if any one else has had this problem. My 5 year old white boxer has this thing that just grew on her neck and it looks like a nipple with some hair in the middle of it. I am going to take her to the vet but just wanted to know if this is a common thing with Boxers.

Our white boxer got several of those over the 12 years that we had her. Most of them were nothing, but near the end of her life, they were cancers. They completely encircled her neck (but were on the inside rather than outside like the earlier ones). I'd certainly have your veterinarian take a look at it just to be sure. Good luck - hopefully it is nothing serious.
