Boxer Buddy
Just came back from a disatrous visit to the vets. Its a long story by Juno was spayed 10 days ago and had a bad time, back 5 times, because she got at her stitches and was in alot of pain. The happy day came around when she would be free of the e collar and she lost it. She was growling snapping at me, nurse and the vet. She tried to bite all of us. She is normally a real sweetie. The nurse was horrified. When i told her she is not like that at home she didnt believe me. I have her enrolled in obedience training, but am really concerend. She is very over excitable!!!
Hoping that's all it is
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

Super Boxer
I guess I would be somewhat anxious and cranky with all those bad experiences and being in pain.

Regardless of the vet experience, I believe positive based obedience training is somewhat a neccessary thing to do with boxers. We start before 6 months and usually go to several classes as well as home training.

Saying that, dealing with the vet experience is something different and probably not resolvable with obedience training. Your poor pup was no doubt afraid and lashing out. There is a strong chance she is going to be fearful and anxious about going to the vet, something she will need to do quite a lot. (Hey, I still don't like going to the dentist.) I would focus on desensitising her and make going to the vet a positive experience.
