Help! San Antonio needs support to change the practices of the Animal Pound!

I am an avid reader of this website, I cannot post regularly, but I know the support and camaderie of this place surpass anything else, that is why I am asking for a favor from Boxerworld's members. I live in San Antonio, Texas, a great city, but with a huge problem, last sunday on the front page of our local newspaper (mysa.com), an article about the local animal pound opened up the eyes of all residents. Our animal pound is still using gas chambers, and kills nearly 50,000 animals a year, barely leaving a 4% behind for adoptions. The outrage has been enourmous, but I feel the pressure should come from other cities as well, so our leaders can see that the world is looking down on us for the treatment of these animals. Please read the following article, and support us with feedback, the more we can pass the word the more chances we have of change. Thanks!!

Tyson would be dead!

If my baby were there he would have never come home with me! When we got him from the SPCA, He was covered with mange, under weight, and had kennel cough!(even I had my doubts!) He is back to normal now! You absolutely have our support!! Tyson Ali Matt and Rochelle !! we will be praying and if there is anything else we can do keep us posted!!

I understand your outrage at so many animals loosing their lives, but you anger may not be directly at the right place. Most animial shelters would be very happy to be able to keep all animals indefintely, but they cannot due to a lack of space and funds. You should be angry at the irresponsible breeders who brought the animals into the world and the irresponsible owners who did not care for them....
