Our 6 year old female boxer (Brandy) has been vomiting after she eats for about 4 days. She even vomited up blood and had blood in her stool. I took her to the vet. They did blood work and it came back normal. The vet thought that Brandy may have a bacterial infection. She gave her a shot and put her on antibiotics. I fed her small amounts of rice the first day she was on the antibiotics and the second day I gave her a small amount of dog food with her rice. She threw up the food immediately. I am taking her back to the vet but wondered if anyone has any advice on what could be wrong.
Thanks for your help!!

Throwing up blood may be a sign of a gastric ulcer. What ever the cause, I would think that it is something that needs immediate attention. If your vet is not actively pursuing the cause, you may want to bring your furbaby to another vet. Good luck and hope your pooch feels better soon - Cathy

I found another vet in town that offers ultrasounds. So I am going to get her in there.
She is keeping the rice down but not the dog food.

Try adding some skinless, boneless boiled chicken to the rice. If the dog food causes vomitting, I'd just give the chicken and rice until you figure out what's making her sick.
