HELP...Lizzy's worsened, fast....

OK everyone, decent news to report! Although I'm still anxiously awaiting biopsy results (tomorrow), Lizzy is finally eating! I am upset with my vet for not sending me home with pain meds for her in the 1st place, he should've known that. Lizzys jaw is extremely sore, and after enough arguing I finally got her some narcotics....gave them to her an hour before attempted feeding tonight. I cooked up some chicken then sliced it into shreds, like tuna. Mixed the shredded chicken/little rice/vegetable stew into a "slurry" and put it into her food dish. This would be very easy to swallow without chewing.
She inhaled every bit of it. She even tried to clean the floor! I can't give her too much, but will try a little later with some more. I replaced her water with Pedialite, bubblegum....yummy! She's drinking it like crazy, and I think the electrolites have replenished her, she is more active, and not so weak, and now I'm hoping for improvement after just eating, and hopefully continuing to eat, put some weight back on (lost almost 10lbs in 10 days!)
Results tomorrow and I am anxiously awaiting awesome news! I'm optimistic!

That's wonderful news! I guess sometimes the vets forget our babies feel pain too! I'm glad to hear that she's eating and drinking...and we're anxious to hear the results of her biopsy.

I just caught this thread. I am so sorry that you and Lizzy are going through this. I am glad to hear that she is eating. That is good news. I pray all goes well with the results on the biopsy.

Hope the news is good, and Lizzy gets some relief soon (poor baby)!! Ya know you can also try some plain yogurt in her food, it is good for their digestive system. My boys love it!! It has plenty of enzymes to help their bellies feel better and cleans their intestines of harmful stuff. Hope your baby is feeling better soon. I kind of know how you feel, Judge is going to get a lump removed tuesday. Of course i'm thinking the worse, but it's small and he's as healthy as can be. I'll just feel better when it's off and I know it was nothing.
