LizzysDad,

He (Riggo) went through a very intensive week long treatment in late September followed by 2 mini cycles of chemo. We are battling cancer on 2 fronts; bone marrow and lymph nodes. Both the bone marrow and lymph nodes went into remission in November. Recently however his lymph nodes flared up again and I decided to put him though a mini-cycle again. This has been extremely tough on me as I am single and live alone and he is like a son to me so I wanted to do everything I could for him hoping for a very long remission. I've run into many other pet cancer patients at the clinic and most of them have reported long remission times of 2 years or so with their pets. He is seeing probably the top vet oncologist on the East coast in West Chester Philadelphia.

In general he has always responded well to chemo with some side effects of diarhea and vomitting although it hasn't really been that bad.

It's great news Lizzy is home and sleeping soundly, even though loudly. Hope she has a good appetitie after the drugs wear off and the news is good from UT. We'll be keeping the both of you in thoughts and prayers.

Lizzy's doing well today, still tired, but she's doing good. Still hasn't eaten since the biopsy, but vet said it's normal. All I can do now is wait, and pray for the best! I still wake up to the wet nose sniffing/tickling my feet in the morning...never gets old!

RiggoD- I'm sorry your boy is going through that, I only hope he stays well and holds out remission. I know exactly how you feel.... I'm single, and my Lizzy is the only thing that's been stable to me in my last 7 years of moving around, good times, and bad, etc.... She never cares about anything but welcoming me every day with that big boxer "smile" and enough sloppy kisses to flood out half the state. I think that the 1 on 1 relationship is much harder to lose, especially when she's all I have. And, I know you know exactly what I'm talking about. My prayers also for Riggo boy.

Again, I can't thank everyone enough. I'm not supersticious(sp?) but I think all the positive boxer karma has helped Lizzy. And me! Thanks to everybody, I will definately keep her condition updated.
