I planted lots of flowers this year and put something called "Keep outta my garden" around the timbers. Deuce will only go near it when Dioge steps over the timbers. Deuce will pull on Dioge's ears to get him out of the flowers. Luckily, I have never caught Deuce in the flowers. He is 9 months now and I have had the garden for three months. Knock on wood.

Gina may have been trying to do you a favor. Wisteria looks really pretty for a while but, and it is a BIG BUT, it can take over your garden and your fence. My husband has spent the last 20 years trying to kill out what was here when we moved in the house. It keeps coming back. It has ruined our chain link fence and has even crept up in to a big elm in the back yard. My husband gets out in the yard every spring, cuts every branch of it he can find and it still comes out! We have neighbors who hate it too and have tried to help by cutting it on their side but this plant is a diehard monster.
We are beginning to think it is an alien......

Believe me, I thought about it! The only things left in my back yard besides the dreaded wisteria bushes, are some die hard English Ivy and a rose bush that Mac and Jazz used for teething. I can't believe it is still growing and producing blooms!

Before I got sick I had a greenhouse and one year even a vegetable garden, which I loved! Now I can hardly go outside because of the allergies so I don't really mind the dogs digging around. I used to love the feel of good old dirt on my hands! Now I am happy with dog slobber!:D
