Help! high protein

I really like the ingredients of orijen. My puppy is only 10 months old, so I know some think the proteins too high. If I mix it with the Merrick puppy I'm currently feeding, would it bring the protein amount down? Sorry if thats a dumb question! Thanks, Kim

If the amount of protein is listed "per serving" and you are cutting that serving down by 1/2 (by making up the serving with a different food which contains less protein) you will be cutting the amount of protein consumed however you need to ADD in the amount from the other food to get an actual calculation.

Our boxer Zeus is now 2 years old and has been on orijen since he was a little over 6 months old. I switched him to the orijen adult at that point, and ever since he has been going back and forth between that and the 6 fish formula. He loves the food and does great with it. So in my opinion I wouldn't be worried about the high protein of orijen, unless your dog has issues with it, then i wouldn't. Hopefully this is at least a little helpful.
