I 2nd Hanley 100%!!!!!
Please make the necessary calls if you have not already before anything worse happens. The trauma of having had to defend herself 2 times I am sure has taken its toll on your baby...this is not a territory dispute or who gets to eat first...this was a fight for her life and in trying to defend herself and your terrier she may feel insecure in her area. I sincerely hope that this cat can be contained without any further violence, though I am worried it may not end that way.
In the meantime I also think that maybe your baby needs a new leader. If you have any rescues in your area, perhaps you could see if any suitable dog is available. I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts.

Good Luck, Dora

Update...

Thank you all for all your prayers and information.. I really appreciate it.

So far, Lola has been improving. She is still scared of a certain part of our yard, but will hopefully be back to her old-self again. She is becoming braver by the day, but we are still not letting her go out by herself at night. Since the last time the Cat came, we have kept them on complete "night lock-down". I feel bad that i have taken a bit of her freedom away, but it's for her own good.

As for the Cat, we were wrong in assuming he was gone. It is the same Cat that came to our home twice. We did call Game & Fish to see if they could remove the Cat, but they said that they were not able to do anything about the Cat unless it hurt a human being. I am still trying to fight that...I live quite close to a school and the risk is just too great.

Keep your fingers crossed for us! And thanks again..

I am so sorry for your loss.

I can totally relate to the depression. Murph and Hugo were INSEPERABLE(sp?) and Nov. 2nd of 2003 they both got hit in my roommate's driveway (in the country) Murph died instantly and Hugo was right there, seeing his best friend die. Hugo relied on Murph more than the other way around. It's been over a year and he is just now coming around better than he was. He has been around other dogs and other Boxers, puppies and adults and still HAS NOT played like he did with Murph.

I really don't have any suggestions, with Hugo he gradually got better. I think I saw more of a change when we moved from where Murph got hit, and that was almost 6 months ago. Not that moving is necc. option, but just happened to be that we ended up moving. Like Hugo, life for my boys and I will never be the same as when Murphers was alive.

I'm glad your baby is better, but sad he has lost some of his freedom,I hope the cat doesn't hurt anyone else, since Game & Fish wouldn't help,I think, I would set a live trap & catch the cat & relocate him myself. He will keep coming back & its just a matter of time before someone gets hurt. I know these big cats are protected, but you have to keep your family safe too. Hanley

Sad Baby

I Want To Let You Know My Prayers Are With You And Your Baby, I Lost One Of My Dogs About A Year Ago, And He Was Another One Of My Baby's Pal, They Kinda Hung Out Together, Shared The Same Water And Food(have 2 Additional Boxers Also) Bowls, Played And When Apache Died Kassie Was Devastated, She Moped Around For A While, She Was Closer To Him Than The Other Two, But She Finally Came Out Of It When Our Neighbor Bought A Horse, Which Kassie Thought Would Be Great As Her New Friend, She Would Lay At The Door A Cry To Go See Her, And Just Lay Outside Sometimes Waiting For Her To Come Close To The Fence...they Became Distant Friends, Every Now And Again I Will See Diana(the Horse) Put Her Head Over The Fence And Lick Kassie On Her Back And Kassie Will Lick Her Nose..but She Did Finally Get Back To Herself, Just Hang In There And Be Sure I Agree With You, Something Needs To Be Done About That Cat...too Dangerous For Animals And Humans.
Good Luck!
