I have been trying to work with boxer world to adopt a male boxer around 1 year old. Unfortunately, I have had only one response to my emails I've sent out about available dogs. I have filled out two applications (as recommended by the sight - if you don't get a response in a certain amount of time) and still have heard nothing. Even if they are rejecting my application, I would like to know so I can make other arrangements. I really have my heart set on adopting. However, I am at the point where I am ready to let my boyfriend buy me a puppy. It's so sad that there are so many homeless boxers out there and I am willing to house, love and completely spoil one, yet it has been very frustrating. I am willing to travel in order to pick up the dog (within reason maybe 4 -5 hours). Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks for letting me vent!

Please don't give up,check all surrounding high kill shelters, you just might be suprised at what you will find, not all Boxers end up in Boxer Rescue,so keep looking, there is a homeless baby out there that needs you. Hanley

I have One Year Old Flashy Fawn Male in need of home

Hi ~ I sure hope that you are not too far from York,PA
I have to move next weekend and have a 1yr old Male Boxer that I must find a home for immeadiatly; sadly I am not able to bring him with me due to his size.
My Ozzy is a beautiful, healthy & flashy fawn one year old boy - born May 23,2003. He is up to date with heartworm - he is due for his vaccinations this month, and he is in tact - but I have the number of a nearby clinic that will do a low cost nueter.
He is wonderful with children of all sizes and ages & other animals, as he currently lives with a Boston Terrier & 2 cats. He is very muscular & large at 60+ pounds - (have not had him on the scale recently) but thinks he is a lap dog - he has no clue how big he really is! He knows basic commands of Sit - Stay - Come, He is fully house-broke, He is wonderful off-leash & will be your shadow when walking, he does pull a bit on leash & needs work on that. He loves to play and run with other dogs & would do very well in a home with other dogs - he is not a dominate male - he is very sweet in temper & if there were any way possible that I could keep him I would, but due to a recent finacial situation I am forced to sell our home & take residence in an apartment that will not allow dogs of his size. I am looking to find a forever home for him, but will be willing to take him back at any time if things would not work out(his breeder would provide housing until another suitable home could be found). Please respond if you are interested, I will need references from your vet. I will send pictures after you contact me - Thanks so much ~ SunnyBee

Please Contact Me Asap!!!

I am going nuts here as I am unable to E-mail you, as you have that function disabled here. Mine is enabled - so you can contact me. PLEASE contact me as soon as possible - I have been reading all of your threads & it seems like your home would be perfect for OZZY - he adores our cat & Kitten - he loves to play with other dogs (tug-of-war & chase) & he would be awesome in a fenced yard(we have our yard fenced)~ My heart is breaking terribly (I have had him since he was 5 weeks old - his sister lives right next door & they play together every day!!!). I am hopeful that maybe this was meant to be - I want so much for him to get a good and loving home, one that he can transition into without too much stress - it seems that you are aware of the Boxer "traits" and would be able to give him the "play time" & "play-mates" he would so love!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I hear from you soon - I have the "Boxer-Rescue" for my Back-up just in case I do not hear from you soon! I have been a volunteer for our local rescue & have been a "home-checker" as well as having recued dogs in the past. I know the excitement & pins & needles first hand, so I know what it's like waiting for "the call". I would have gone straight to the "Rescue" had I not stumbled upon your post - first. I have a gut feeling that this may be fate & I guess we will wait & see!
Anxiously awaiting your reply ~ Sunny & Ozzy
