I'm not sure if my partner and I are being a wee bit TOO paranoid but our 1yo boy (or almost 1yo by 1 month) has been peeing a wee bit oddly lately.
I didnt think anything to start off with but my other half pointed out that it is taking Axle about 5mins to relieve himself each time he pees. Often it will start out in just spurts and it almost looks as though he is trying really hard pee (the poor wee guy) but cant get it out any faster. When he does get going he can be standing there for a good 3 or 4mins!
He is at the vet at the moment and they are observing him for the next 5 hours. They think he may have a blockage in his 'boy-bit' or more serious, there could be something going on with his bladder.
Has anyone heard of anything like this before or know what this could be? My mother is a bit dubious with the vet we visit and they have sent dogs home to them before and they have discovered months down the track that things are more serious than first anticipated.
Can anyone ease my mind??
