Hi I just got a boxer puppy three weeks ago her name is Daisy and she is now 12 weeks old. She is brindle with a splash of white on her chest a small patch on her jaw and a small patch on the toes of each paw. I drive truck and Daisy my co-driver goes with me. We travel where ever we are sent. She has taken to the truck real well has not been car/truck sick on me yet so either I am a decent driver or she has a strong stomach. I am really glad I found this site I have already learned a host of stuff. I really look forward to my days off now so I can research more every chance I get. Hope to get to know you all.....

Welcome to BW! Can't wait to see some of your posts and some pictures of your new furbaby. I'm sure she will keep you company on the road. As you will soon learn, boxers are the absolute best companions and they love to be with you no matter where it is. My Bella is 15 weeks old and she is happy when we play and she is just as happy just to lay next to me on the couch. They are such sweet little love bugs. lovicon

Thanks for welcoming me

Thanks for welcoming me. I feel like part of the family already. She is the greatest thing that has happened to me in a long time. That is other then when I got remarried back in December. I am the happiest I have been in a very long time. I remember my dad talking about them having boxers when the was a kid and how much he loved them. After only a 4 weeks with Daisy I think I understand why now. I have finally learned how to make the avatar. Soon hope to have a bunch of pics up for all to see. Thanks again.

Hello Fingers and welcome to BW. Are you putting the fingers in the big hole and gouging on it?! ha-ha! My husband is also a truck driver-all 48 states in the US. I'm glad to hear that Daisy is enjoying the big truck!! I'll have to tell him about Daisy, since he has mentioned taking Indy with him. You'll love BW-so many great people and lots of information. Good luck.

Me gouge on it never!!! I have a truck that is governed out at 65mph there is not much gouging I can really do. LOL. I just try to keep it between the lines and do the job I am suppose to do. I just love this site. It is the one i visit most frequently. Daisy is now 13 weeks old and knows how to sit, shake, and she is workign on down. Come is still another story if she wants to come she will if not she acts like she if deaf. In the last two weeks she has had only one accident in the house and that I felt was my fault I was on the phone and ignored her trying to tell me she had to go out when she woke up. I think she is so smart but not sure if she is just average or not with all that she knows. I look forward to learning all I can from this site. It is the best. We will be moving to Michigan in a few months. I hope to meet other boxer owners when there.

Oh that's rough when they cut you off at a certain speed in your truck! When you move to the States, you should have no problem getting a trucking job-if that's what you're planning on. There are always trucking jobs, which is nice-DH and I figure we could always move if we wanted and he would be able to find work. It sounds like little miss Daisy is doing great with her commands. Boxers seem to have a stubborn streak, but consistency works. Indy starts school on May 4-I am looking forward to that. I'm glad to hear that Daisy is adjusting so well to everything-she sounds like a pretty smart dog to me!

Hi Fingers, welcome to the board :)
Your photos couldn't be approved because they were too small (the size of an avatar). Do not hesitate to upload larger photos, like 640x480 pixels.

Well after more then 5 years at the same company I am use to the governed speed. The company I work for is out of Wisconsin. When I get to Michigan I am not sure if I will be finding another job or not. The one good thing about this proffession if you get tired in one place the next job can be lined up in about 4 hours. The only job where you can tell the boss to his/her face what you think of them and still have a job. They need us, the driver, worse then we need them. I am home right now on comp. I hurt my back trying to get the spare off the back of my truck cause the lazy mechanic would not do his job said it was mine. Have been off six days already and spending quality time with Daisy. We have finally secured the yard now with the weather getting nice I can put her in the backyard to romp and play without worrying about her. She just loves the outside in this nice weather. Have been packing up the trailer all day today. We are taking it to the campground by our new place next weekend. Then Daisy gets to learn something new again. Camping..hope she likes it.

Hey there Fingers, from Wisconsin. Good luck on the move to MI. Your baby is a cutie. Welcome also to BW. I know you probably can't say who you drive for but, what's the scac code? Gimme a hint. Used to be a traffic analyst for a Milw. fortune 500. Transportation was my game! Keep rollin'.
