Hi there! We have one boxer named Lily - she's going to be a year old in two weeks! We got her when she was about 8 weeks old, I can't believe how fast she's grown....

I'm actually embarassed to admit this, but I knew absolutely nothing about boxers until we got Lily. I did a lot of research, and I am SO GLAD that we ended up with her. She is so much fun! She makes us all laugh each day, and she's always there to comfort us when we're sad.

I have one question - I think Lily is very small for her age. She only weighs about 40 lbs. How long to Boxers grow?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you all soon.

Welcome to BoxerWorld.

40lbs at a year old seems real small to me as my 14wk. old male is 25lbs.
Hopefully one of the pros will drop in and let you know for sure.

Boxer Pal
Welcome

Hi

I am new here and thought I would say Hi

I am new to boxers also and knew Nothing about them except they had very bad farts. ( as My friends did) So my first was a female of 3yrold and raised in the city with a 16x 16ft back yard.. well I live out on a farm ... I learn't a lot from books and stuff but learn't first hand - She is just great

But anyway I also have a brindle female who was also three when I go her nine months back and she is all of 40 lbs. But I tell you there is nothing but muscle on her and the vets are surprised to see such a fit dog...but then she must run at least five miles aday and boy is she fast.

Now I have a 9 month female who is 60lbs. and her brother is 68 lbs - oh the first boxer - she is 53lbs with lots of muscle.......

So they come in all sizes thats for sure.....but I do think my Jewel of 40 lbs does seem small compared to any other....I am not sure of what her up bring was, but the people I got her from said they feed the cheepest dog food they could get ..so if that is why she is small I am not sure....

But she is a good girl - most of the time...and so loveable - size don't matter.... for me

anyway welcome aboard
