capone's story
we've always had fawn boxers too and after the death of our last boxer who was my dad's buddy, he decided he really wanted a white boxer. We live in a really rural area so when my dad found a white boxer he called and reserved the puppy sight unseen. (this proves he never once listened to all of lectures on choosing responsible breeders)
when we got there we found 2 females each with a litter of puppies and 1 male in a pen the size of my office cubicle. they were all malnutritioned and full of hook works. there were only three pupies there and my sister took the brindle and there was a runt that was the size of a chihuaha(sp?) puppy that obviously wasn't going to make it. i wish i had taken that one too but i was really afraid he would die in frot of the kids. he told us he was 6 weeks old (lie #1) and he was so small because the dam rejected him which was true but only because he let all the puppies nurse from her.
this place was so awful i spent weeks calling everyone i could think of to report them and finally got them all out of there. so we immediately took both puppies to the vet the next day and that began the cycle of bottle feeding every 3 hours medicine every 4 hours round the clock resulting in a very healthy and spoiled baby.
he's growing like a weed now and we've never had such a lippy puppy. he's our center of the universe and i'll post pictures as soon as i get a minute
sorry so long winded. all i meant to say was thank you for the welcomes.
