Hi! I'm glad there is a site like this that we can all share our experiences on. Almost two years ago I rescued a beautiful fawn boxer puppy from a shelter in Missouri. Since then, I have found she has a heart condition, lung condition and now skin condition. Although these issues are tough, I wouldn't trade her for the world. She is taking beta blockers twice a day and powder mixed in with her food for her over-active intestinal bacteria. Believe me, she can be hard work! Make no mistake though, she's a definite boxer! She loves to play and have fun all the time. The main reason I joined this site is so I could get some advice on her conditions from time to time b/c I know these problems are likely in the boxer breed. I have been a boxer lover since I can remember. My mother used to own a reverse brindle boxer who lived to be 14 years old! Ever since, I've been in love!

Maxwell's Ma-I live in Ely, IA. That is about 15-20 mins south of Cedar Rapids. Laila would love a playdate, but unfortunately when she plays with other dogs, she gets too excited and has seizures. She loves to play but I have to hold her back b/c her little heart can't take it :-(
