Boxer Pal
Hello To All,
I am new to Boxer World. I also am new to having a boxer. I just brought home my first boxer a couple weeks ago. He is a Fawn and his name is "Bruiser", sounds like a rough name but being a boxer and my parents had a dog when I was growing up named "bruiser" and he was one of the best dogs I have ever been around. Anyway, I fell in love with my sister and brother-in-laws boxer "buster" over the holidays and I have been looking to get one for many years but I waited until I graduated from college. Know I have one of the best companions, "Bruiser". I love him to death. I have to look past the chewing and the housebreaking accidents ,but it doesn't take much to look past that when you wake up and he is there to brighten your day. Now if I can ask a couple questions with this message. I am wondering when I should worry about housebreaking "Bruiser". I think that he is doing pretty good it is just every now and then he has accidents. What worries me is that my sisters boxer was house broken in 10 days ,but they got him when he was about 10 weeks old. "Bruiser" is was born on October 30th, 2004. So he is just know 11 weeks. I got him when he was 9 weeks. So I just don't know when to worry. Then about is eating, I am afraid I am not feeding him right. I read that I am only suppost to feed him 1 1/2 cups a day at his age. Well, I have been feeding him more than that because he acts like he is starving all the time. He has all his shots so I know that he is healthy and all. So I am looking for a recommendation on how much to feed him a day. Also, I was reading and I am not sure how much I should be worried about his nose not being completely black. I read somewhere where their nose is to be all black. I am know that he is high bread but for some reason his isn'a all black. This is something minor to me because I love him no matter what. Anyway, I know this seems long but I will go for know. I am excited to belong to Boxer World. Hope to chat with you all later and thanks for your suggestions.
Thanks, Rich & "Bruiser"
