I am new to Boxerworld. I have Zoe, a 4 year old flashy fawn girl, and I lost Darby, my beloved 11 and 1/2 year old baby last march to Cushings Disease. I love these dogs, especially after caring for a 3 month old English Lab puppy for the last 5 days for a friend. Sweet dog, but boxers seem to have more "soul". I was struck by how much more intuitive/human like my two boxer puppies were versus this cute lab. Looking forward to enjoying this site!

Hello

I am new to boxerworld, but I am excited to find so many boxer lovers in one place. It's nice to have people to talk with. Sorry to hear about Darby.....sounds like a nice long life when considering the boxer life span of 10yrs.

I am excited about it as well - people rarely understand my obsession with my boxers. Darby did live a long great life, hope the same for my 4 year old. Tell me about your dog...

I am only sorry to have just found this site a few days ago. I have had a million questions about my boxers over the last 13 years, had to figure it out on my own. Tell me about your dog/dogs!

sjcross.....my husband and mine only child....he weighs 83lbs. He likes to eat like his mom and pop. We take him on long walks at least once a day weather permitting.....also, another nice trick I learned....only works with some dogs, but if you can get a red laser light....like the ones people use in business presentations.....they also sell them at pet stores....anyhow, my boy chases that red light, it provides great exercise for him when he can't get out of the house and he's not wrestling with my husband.....he loves that. He will bark at my husband while he sits on the couch watching t.v. until he gets on the floor and lets Burton wrestle with him.....its great fun.....if you know of any boxer games let me know....my boy is 2 1/2 yrs. old. Lately, I have been considering getting another child, so that my boy will have a sister...so, he'll have someone to play with, but my husband and I aren't sure if we could afford another big dog....so we've been checking around and looking at some small dogs....my boy played with a 5lb. miniature datsun (sp?) and he loved her....they would play all day....she would go under the bed and when he would look under there for her...she would jump on top and on his back and into another room....but she belonged to my neighbor, who was only babysitting her for a while....he was sad when she went home.....Do you know anything about breeds Boxers tend to get along with and have the same energy level as boxers?
