Hello Jaelle,
Thank you for letting me know! Charlie is fine so far. He went twice to the vet and no problems. Although I paid the higher price to have him registered at the Canadian Kennel Club, but I still did not get the papers by mail I was supposed to get.
You know, I had doubts when I went there. The breeder asked me no question as to what kind of dog I need (e.g. dominant, submissive, companion, guarding abilities, temperament fitted for me and my wife, etc), and I knew breeders usually ask these questions. What surprised me the most is that she didn't know about the history of Boxers, while I actually know about it. She was not competent in answering my questions. When I asked about which puppy had which temperament, she said they were all the same. My wife actually chose Charlie but I found Charlie distant from the other dogs so I wondered if he was dominant. She said no he is just tired. However it turns out Charlie is very dominant with my older Pit BUll dog Coco. He is lucky Coco is very sweet and kind-hearted. I'm getting more and more experience so I don't mind to have a dominant dog. But how come I picked up on that and not a supposedly professional breeder.
I'm happy Charlie is in good health. I hope he won't have anything serious like hip dysplasia. And I hope I will get my Canadian Keenel Club papers soon. I will certainly call her.
Poor little puppies. I feel bad for them!
Thanks. You confirmed my intuition. I bought Charlie anyway because found him so cute. We just "fell" for him. More emotion than reflection.
But now he is part of the family and I'll do everything to make him happy.
