Boxer Pal
Hello. My boyfriend and I adopted a beautiful, approximately 2-yr old, brindle and white boxer girl from the local humane society shelter. My bf has grown up with boxers, since his family used to breed them and he is completely in love with the breed. But because we both realize that there are so many unwanted pups already out there we decided to adopt a rescue, rather than buy one from a breeder. Our boxer's name is Cookie, not by our choosing, but apparently her previous owner named her that. According to the shelter the owner decided to give her up because he didn't have time for her. Cookie seems to be bonding with us in the past two days she's been home, but I'm unfamilar with crating and that stressing me out a little bit, but my bf is being very patient. Also, she is dominant and my roommate's minituare schnauzer is quite displeased with this. We are trying to socialize them, but if things dont ease up in the next few days we might let cookie live with my bf's parents until him and i get a place of our own, where cookie can be top dog without growling contests... I'm sure I'll be posting about this issue in the other forums.
