Hello from Upstate New York!

We just wanted to say Hi to everyone in BoxerWorld. Our newest addition to the family is Lucy. She's a 3 month old fawn with black mask and white markings. She joined our family at the ripe young age of 10 weeks and we all adore her!! The rest of the family includes myself, my husband, our 3 children (ranging in age from 2-7), our 2 older dogs and 1 cat (and if he could only talk, would tell us to take this jumpity little pup right back where she came from).

We're looking forward to meeting fellow Boxer fans and hopefully sharing stories as well as helpful ideas and advice. I'll try to post pictures soon so that everyone can meet our girl.

Welcome form Upstate

Welcome to BW from upstate NY. Wow I guess when they opened up membership again there were a bunch of New Yorkers just waiting to jump on in, that's great. This site has much to offer, but not nearly as much as your little furbaby! Post pics. soon, and keep your eye on the boxer bash section, a few of us, in the capital district, will be getting the monsters together soon and Im in the very early stages of possibly starting the Capital District Boxer Club. Thanks to all for welcoming us to BoxerWorld!! We can't wait to get started on this site. I think I failed to mention this.. but Lucy is the first Boxer I ever owned. We have some family friends who have had Boxers forever... and absolutely adore the breed.. but this is our first experience and we love her dearly. Her personality alone makes you melt.

Some quick responses to the posts. We live 15 minutes south of Syracuse... we travel through Fort Drum often to visit relatives... and we also frequent the Capital District a lot because that's where my Mom lives. In fact, Lucy spent her first Christmas at "Grandma's House". So to all of you who've posted.. whether you live close by already.. or are moving into the state and need a friend for yourself or your Boxer-child.. please feel free to email me. I look forward to a chat and if at all possible.. getting our bundles of energy together for a romp. I must say... watching Lucy run through the snow is hysterical. She has so much fun, sometimes when I feel she's been out long enough and I worry about her getting cold, I have to MAKE her come inside.
