I would like to introduce myself my name is Lyn and I have always wanted a Boxer. A friend of mine called to tell me she had bought a Fawn Boxer at a pet store. So of courseI had to go over to see her new addition. I fell in love right away and so did my boys. My friend told me that the pet store had another Boxer pup for sale but she was a Brindle pup. So I was at the pet store 15 minutes before it closed and saw that cute little face and had to take her home with me. My boys named her Whiskey, not what i would of named her that but I was out numbered. She was 11 weeks old when we got her in Aug and cute as a button. Everyone was so happy except our 5 year old Border Collie. He wasn't too happy that this puppy was taking over his home, but soon learned that she is the boss!
After a while I noticed that she had something wrong with her eye and took her to the vet right away. He told me that she had some kind of eye infection and sent me to a dog eye doctor. I was so worried that she was going to be blind cause no one really knew what was wrong with her. They ended up putting a lens in her eye and sewed her eye shut (to keep the lens in her eye) and with a lot of drops and creams applied to the eye she is almost back to normal. One thing about my darling little whiskey NOTHING slows her down. I wish I had her energy! I love her to death and yes she is the boss of my household!
