Boxer Pal
I am anxiously awaiting the birth of my first dog and boxer. I am researching as much as I can about the breed and I must say I am truly excited about meeting our new baby. I have been reading the forums on this website for months now and have learned a tremendous amount about everything(health problems, crating, characteristics). I have to be honest and say I am a bit nervous about parenting a boxer and if anyone has any suggestions as to how to prepare please respond. One of the things I haven't seen much discussion about is "drooling". On a scale from 1 to 10(droolest), what am I in for.

I look forward to being apart of the Boxerworld family!!!

Max and Lilly send a welcome from Alabama! The one thing that I will recommend about preparing for your new boxer is to find as much information as possible. I recommend "Boxers for Dummies" but there are lots of books out there. Also, ask questions on these forums! You'll love the new baby!

Welcome to BW! Dozer sends wags and Diesel sends wiggles! Just look in the forums everything is here. If you have questions go to the appropriate forum and ask away! There is always someone to help! Have fun on the site and congratulations on your new pup!

Welcome to BW! I can't wait to hear all about your new baby - name, fawn, brindle, white etc. Do a search about drooling. You should find some answers. Max does when we have something he wants to eat.

Welcome to BW. I can't wait to hear more about your puppy!

As far as the drooling goes, Beau's is about a 2. He gets a little slobbery when he's playing really hard, but that's it!

Drool.. hmm after play, meeting new people, dogs, when you are all dressed up and going out :) two words PAPER TOWELS. It's not so bad. Welcome to the Board!

Drool

My first two didn't drool at all(such little ladies) but Sam gets a good drool on whenever he eats(or even just wants to eat!) He has a lovely thick sticky drool too, always leaves a spot on my pants before work.

Welcome, you will never regret getting a Boxer
