Snellville is pretty nice. We moved here from little Ogden Utah about 10 years ago, so talk about a BIG change for us! We like it here. The people are nice, and we also have a great vet for Monty. There is also a good kennel nearby. It has individual runs with outside/inside access. Good luck on your move.

Well its a go and we're so excited! We are moving to Snellville!! Our closing is on or maybe even before June 30th..The neighborhood is Ivy Brook. Have you heard of it?
The kids will be going to Norton Elem. any information you can provide will be great. Oh why I'm thinking of it wheres the nearest dog park and whats the name of that kennel and your Vets name you mentioned? I may need them during the move.. Oh the stress/fear :(

We are also in Snellville and have a 9 month old boxer that is a handful. He really enjoys the Ronald Regean Park and Briscoe for the kid's soccer games. We'll have to set a playdate!

So happy to have a contact with someone in Snellville. Thank you for responding. We won't know a soul there so I really do appreciate the info on the park. How old are your kids? Do they attend Norton Elem? Also what is the YMCA like there is the closest one in Lawrenceville? I'm thinking we'll join The Y in hopes of making some new friends. Is Stone Mountain a dog friendly park?
I'm looking forward to meeting your Niko once we get settled I'd love to do a boxer get together.

Kids are 6 and 7 and attend Britt, the nearest Y is about 10 min away on Sugarloaf Pkwy. Stone Mountian does allow dogs in certain areas but the Ronald Regean Park is closer and has a big dog park which is seperated by size and the dogs can run free and they even have a water fountian for them and agility activites. The kids also have a park to play on and many trails for walking. All around good park I was very impressed and so was the family. Hope you enjoy the move and maybe we will get together once settled. Great! Did a mapquest to Ronald Regean Park from our new house it looks to be a little under 10 miles. I have a 3 yr old son & a 6 yr old daughter. We have 3 boxers 2 seniors 10 &11 and a 3 yr old juvenile that loves to run and play boxer style. When we get there and semi settled in I'm planning on hitting the dog parks and kid parks alike. I'll be in touch with you via BW threads as instant messaging is on hold for the time being.

We are anxiously and nervously looking forward to the move.

We closed on our new Snellville house today and will begin moving down there in about 3 weeks time. If anyone can refer me to a great vet that would be super. My female Hershey is 10+ and has an under active thyroid condition as well as having severe glaucoma she's on her fair share of meds. Our current vet thinks she could also possibly have Lupus we aren't sure yet. He has been treating her thyroid and her health has improved greatly.
Anyway its going to be a hectic and yet an exciting move down. I'm looking forward to exploring our new surroundings in the Peach Tree Capital of the world.

We use a vet in Loganville which is just minutes away from Snellville, He is open on Saturdays also and very reasonable in prices. Loganvile Vet -Dr read the Rules. So when is the big moving date ?

We should be starting the trek down at the latest the 30th of June or there abouts. I am so excited!
OMG! I just had sticker shock when I found out what my car insurance will increase to more then double our current rate. I hope its not a pattern, an increase in the cost of living..yikes.
Maybe when I get my bearings a bit we can make plans for the dogs and kids to get together at Ronald Regean Dog Park and I get that vets name and contact info then.
