Hello All, my name is Melinda and I rescued a one year old falshy brindle in March of this year. By all accounts she had a rough life, and has come such a long way in the 7 months that I have had her. I re-named her Lola and she is a true JOY!!! I've had Labs in the past, and boy, what a difference there is in the two breeds! This little girl makes me laugh out-loud everyday....I've been reading the forums for several weeks and love them! Thanks to all those who post such wonderful thoughts and advice! It really helps a new boxer mom like me. Looking forward to getting to know all the other boxer lovers out there on BW!

We're always searching for boxer friends to meet up with in the SF Bay Area, if you are close by drop us line!

Welcome fellow San Franciscan!! while, im not currently in town, we are in and out of the bay area all the time. (we'll be in SF mid-nextweek) :D when we are in town, we love (and the pups too ) going to Ft. FUNston! can't wait to see pictures and hear stories about your Lola!

Congratulations on your new baby. Boxers are definitly unlike any other breed, you are going to have so much fun together. We are located in the bay area (kinda) in monterey.
How wonderful you chose a rescue, we've had our rescued boxer for almost a year now and I can't explain the bond that we have with him. They add so much to your life!

Hello, Thanks to all of you who have been so welcoming. To answer a couple of questions, Lola is about 2 yrs old, maybe a bit younger. She was such a wonderful find as a rescue, when she walked in my door for the "home visit", I knew right away that I had to have her. The rescue group here in No. California was wonderful. I can't say enought good things about them.

I've loaded a few more pics of Miss Lola, and still have many more to load later. We're looking forward to getting to know eveyone on BW. And we LOVE Fort Funston too!!!!
