Hi all .... My wife Molly and I just joined Boxerworld and are appreciating all of the great info.

After lots of consideration and much research - from books, encounters with boxers and sites such as this, we newlyweds have decided on becoming Boxer parents. Still searching though. Any info on breeders in the Orland, FL area would be greatly appreciated. We have plans to meet 2 males tonight and 4 tomorrow morning. How do you keep from taking them all home??!!? Such great dogs!

Also - to clip or not to clip?!!?? .... ears that is.

Thanks for the info -

Welcome to boxerworld!

I must say that if the breeders can't provide proof of the health testing listed here on boxerworld, run- don't walk away!
Orlando has a lot of back yard breeders who advertise in papers, etc. and are just selling for a buck.

A friend is showing her boxer there this weekend, you could swing by and meet some of those breeders and find a reputable breeder. (Fairground or convention center, I'd have to check.....)

And of course, since our state has an abundance of homeless boxers, you could do the most wonderful way to find a boxer and that is adopt. Most of our rescues are fostered in the greater Orlando area, we are always getting in all ages and colors. Bad owners don't discriminate and we get in everything from puppies to older family members.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome to BW....congratulations on being newlyweds!! What a great decision to get a boxer - they are just the best!! Good luck in your search for your new puppy. Is is hard not to take them all home - boxers are like the cutest things especially when they are pups!! I used to sit and gaze at Roxi, she was just so perfect!! In my opinion I love "natural" ears....but I do love the cropped ears it looks so sharp. I guess it is really your preference!

Looking forward to seeing pics and hearing stories.
