Boxer Pal
Hi all,

We got our first boxer puppy 3 weeks ago (female-Jaz). She was somewhat house-broke before we got her...or so we thought. Only a few accidents, which are usually right in front of the door. If only she would bark/whine to tell us she wants out...when we don't have eyes one her!! We are close to Jaz's mother...so we knew what we were in for before we got her.

How often do you take her out? How about putting a bell on the door so that she learns to ring it when she needs to go out?

Welcome to Boxerworld. We are originally from Nebraska - I'm from Norfolk and my husband's from Broken Bow - we moved to AZ about 20 years ago, but still head back every summer to visit family as they all still live there.

Anyway, you're gonna love Boxerworld, it's a great place. I agree with the other person, you should try a bell. We placed a bell on the back door doorknob and had it hang so they could ring it with their nose. It only took a day or two for them to catch on if they ring the bell they get to go outside. Good luck it does take some patience.
