Hello fellow Boxer Lovers. My name is Tracey - I am a new mommy to Bella (brindle 3mos) and Drake (fawn 4mos). They are my 2nd & 3rd boxers. We recently lost our beloved Tyson (brindle, 11yrs) after a year long battle with lymphoma. He was our baby, he was my first boxer and he was everything that you know that makes this breed so wonderful. We miss him terribly. We also have 4 yr old Doberboy, Maverick who is a big goof with a big heart ... (I think its interesting how many posters on this forum also have boxers and dobermans-- they really do compliment each other). Anyways our house was to quiet and our hearts needed healing... and we got 2 boxer puppies from rescue.... At first I thought I must have lost my mind, but now I am convinced it was the best idea I ever had!! I guess I shouldn't have been so surprised being a mother of skin twins. We are having a blast! I haven't watched tv since we got them as they are so much fun. I am totally in love with these little imps. I am worried though- Drake was coughing when we first got him. Vet suspected and treated him for KC. On Thanksgiving we took him to Emergency because it was worse- thought pnuemonia. Three antibiotics later, our vet is worried it is fungal infection or congenital heart problem... we will find out Monday when culture results come back... Wish us luck.
