Hello from NY!

hey fellow boxer buds! We just picked out our new boxer friend! She's a 12 week old brindle and she's just gorgeous! I never thought I'd be in love with a puppy like this! My husband grew up with dogs and always wanted a boxer so after being together for 12 years we finally decided it was a good time to bring in a new friend! She'll be coming home Saturday morning from the breeder!! I actually found this site while deciding which breed would be best suited to our family. We have a cat, a bird and 2 kids and will be moving to a house with a heeeeuuuuge yard. Thanks for all the postings which helped us to weigh out every aspect of the boxer breed and to figure out what we need to be careful of. See you all soon!

welcome fellow new yorker!!!!!!!! We have a 13 week old female reverse brindle. I know what you mean about being in love with your puppy!! The next few days of waiting will seem sooooooooo long! I remember they did for us too.

Congratulations and Welcome fellow New Yorker. You will find this site filled with great info. Would have not have made it though puppyhood either time with out it!! Oh, I bet this week is dragging. She's coming home tomorrow!

This has been the longest week ever! Bella comes home tomorrow morning and this day is just dragging! Anticipation is killing us!! Thanks for the replies. I look forward to learning so much with Bella and the Boxer boards. We live on long island too and are going to have to find a good walking place since there aren't many parks locally except for a few small playgrounds. Good thing our yard is large and my kids don't mind exercise! Oh yeah, and we already have our first puppy playdate set up for next weekend! From what I've read on the boards it should be a riot watching a retriever and our brindle baby! See you all soon.

Hello and welcome to BW!! I have a baby Bella also. She is 15 weeks old and she is a pure joy!! I can't imagine our life without her. My husband, which used to only "like" dogs, absolutely adores her. He even brings her to our bed in the middle of the night!! Something he said he would NEVER do. :rolleyes: Congratulations on your baby girl and I know she will bring you tons of joy! I can't wait to see pictures and hear stories about her.
