I stumbled pn this site when I was looking for advice for feeding my daughter's 10 week old red-fawn puppy Lucca - we can see all his ribs (backbone reasonably covered and spine not prominent).

He has settled well at her home (coastal) and is very active with my 2 and a half year old grandson but he has lost weight since coming from his breeder at 8 weeks old. The vet advises health-wise he is fine.

Any recommendations anyone - he is fed a good dry food with some wet food, eats everything but always hungry - parasites taken care of.

I would like to know what NZ members feed their pups please

This is the introduction forum, but if you post your questions in the feeding forum, I'm sure you'll get great response.

Welcome to BW :)

I feed a mix of raw (meat and bones, you can get them very cheap in New Zealand) and Ziwipeak. Choices for dry food are really average here so supplementing with raw food can really help :)
