Hello, We're from Omaha too. We just took home a beautiful brindle boy named Wally.

When do you all get together? Wally would love to play with some other pups.

We actually just met on Sunday, at Zorinsky lake. We meet usually once a month, sometimes more. It was VERY cold Sunday, so I think we are going to wait until it gets a little warmer. How old is Wally? Our boy is a brindle, 11 months old and named Lucky. We also meet up with Brutus (1 year), Fiona (year and a half), Howie (a little over a year), Athena (1 year) and Apollo (about 6 months). It's a blast! When we meet up, we post it in a thread titled Looking for other Boxer Owners in Omaha, NE.

We are located in Omaha and are so excited to be picking Hogan up in 3 weeks. We have to drive about 6 hours to get him. I have a feeling it may be a long ride home with many pit stops. We will be using a travel crate, but I'm slightly nervous about the whole thing. Any advice?

Where are you getting him from? The number one thing he will want on the ride home is comfort, since he will be separated from his siblings and his mom. I'm sure there will be lots of crying, but that is normal. Maybe you can cuddle with him some of the ride. When we picked Lucky up, he cried in the crate, but as soon as I put him on my lap, he curled up and went to sleep.

Take lots of pictures, because they grow SO quickly!

Sorry it took so long to bet back with you, I've been busy at work.

Wally is 16 weeks old. I really want to socialize him with other pups. We've only had him for a week. The breeder told us he was 12 weeks old but the vet said he was 16 weeks. I'm not too happy with the breeder.

Yes, we would love to go meet the gang on your next outing.

Well, we definitely won't be meeting this weekend, it is going to be freezing! We tried last weekend, and it was super cold, so I think we are going to try and wait for a warmer weekend. Keep an eye out, we will post when we meet!
