My Name is Donald and my wife is Shannon. We have a 7 week old male flashy fawn named Mac. We got Mac at six weeks of age which we now know is too ealy and are trying to work through the early stages of puppyhood. We will be looking for inormation on biting inhibition since apparently we got him before he was able to rally grasp these concepts. Also wondering if we tried to bring him back to the breeders for a week until he is 8 weeks if that is good at this point or if it would do more harm than good since he has ben living here for a week.

welcome

WElcome to BW. I used to live in NC when i was in the military. Anyways, I just got my little brindle male, and he was 7 weeks, I thought it might be a little early, but when I took him to the vet, i asked and he said anytime after 6 weeks is fine. I always thought 8 weeks, but who am i to argue with a vet

Hi There! Zoey and I welcome you from California!
I got Zoey at 6 weeks (before I knew any better) and I never had ANY problems with her. She was a perfect pup. :)
Can'y wait to hear more about Mac and see some pictures of him!!

Welcome to all of you from Texas. I think you should keep Mac with you instead of taking him back for a week. The breeder should have known better than to let him go at six weeks and since she didn't taking him back would be of no avail now. Just give him all the love you and Shannon have to give. :)
