Boxer Pal
Hello all!
I'm trying to type this while 8 week old Stella is sleeping in my lap. I fear she doesn't understand she is going to be quite a bit to big for a lap dog lol.
I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I am mom to 3 two legged kids aged 19, 8, and 6 and to a three legged kid named Rex that we rescued from the local shelter. Rex is a 2 yr old boxer who had been terribly abused. He lost his left rear leg and most of his teeth but to see him now he is absolutely amazing. Stella is our 8 week old boxer who came home to live with us yesterday. I'm learning the puppy ropes and would appreciate any little tips.
Thanks!
Sharon

Welcome to Boxerworld, Sharon!

That is so cute that your new furbaby Stella is sleeping in your lap - boy do I miss Asia as a puppy in my lap. Now, nothing has changed except her size! We just got a huge sectional (includes a loveseat, full sized couch & chaise lounge put together) and no matter how much room there is, she will be right on top of someone!

Poor Rex to have been abused, but thank God for you to have saved him ... that is such a sweet rescue story!

Well, Congratulations on Stella - I'm sure this website will have more than enough information to get you through the puppy stage! Can't wait to hear more about *all* of your babies - skin & fur! :)

I fear she doesn't understand she is going to be quite a bit to big for a lap dog lol.

You're right, she will never understand she won't weigh 5 pounds forever. Heidi is almost 70lbs and has to snuggle everynight with me on the couch!! I take it because she is just so darn cute and I can't resist those poor pitiful eyes!!

Welcome to BW and enjoy your stay!! :)
