I am the new owner of a boxer pup. Wow.... I never could have imagined how much fun and excitement one little puppy could bring to a household. We got Harley when he was 10 weeks old. He is a brindle and at almost 5 months weighs in at 31 pounds. Harley was recently diagnosed with Demodex. He is undergoing treatments and is doing quite well. I have read so many posts on Boxer World...and have to admit ... I am addicted. I have one question that I am struggling with. Harley is currently being fed Eukaneuba puppy food. Can anyone suggest a better food? He loves Eukaneuba but I want the best for my little guy. The local pet stores do not sell the better brands...but there is a feed store in Hollis, New Hampshire that I am going to visit on Saturday....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you... I will post Harley's picture as soon as I figure out how to do it!

Hello and Welcome! That fun and excitement of a new boxer baby will be with you for years to come! And yes, this is a VERY addicting site! :) As far as food - Eukanuba is not one of the better ones. There is a forum on BW about puppy feeding or could do a search on the "Whole Dog Jounal" you will find their top recommended foods.

For Wellness you can find a store near you on their website http://www.oldmotherhubbard.com/

Welcome to Boxerworld! :) Adelle named tons of good foods to check out and there is also a section here dedicated solely to foods. If you run a search, you can look for specific topics too. Harley sounds like a bundle of pure boxer joy. I am owned by a 3 1/2 year old fawn male named Mason. Good luck with your search!

Hello & welcome JMitchl & Harley. I am sorry to hear about the demodex, we have had our own bouts with it and it is not fun. Good luck with the search for the right kibble. We are currently feeding Nutro puppy formula, but have been slowly working our way to a raw diet. We hope by the end of the summer to have our 2 pups completely changed over. Looking forward to seeing & hearing more from you two.

Riley And Lily's Mommy

welcome to the site. i've found it very addictive so far.. we're also from massachusetts. although riley is a rescued immigrant from germany, his owners kept him kenneled all the time, and i was looking for a puppy so they let me have him free of charge and my lily is a rescue puppy from holyoke. she was used as a bait dog for dog fighting (how cruel) if i ever get my hands on her original owners i will prosecute... they deserve to be in jail for what they put her through. she is so loved and worshipped now, she knows how good she has it now....they give us more love than they know...the sun rises and sets in there eyes...boxers are truly a breed all there own
