Hello from Leesburg, FL

Hey Everyone,
My name is Kaitlin, and I just found your website yesterday while trying to find information on Boxers, and a lump that I discovered on my boxers neck yesterday. It seems to be right below his right jawbone, and it doesn't seem to bother him as he is still eating, drinking and playing. We just woke up and he is outside doing his thing right now. His name is buddy and he is one and a half years old. I will be taking him to the vet tomorrow and hopefully they will have an answer for me. I just hope that it isn't anything bad. If anyone has any input on this I look forward to your comments.

You made the right choice by making the vet appointment. I always like to have my vet check out any lumps right away.

Buddy

Hey everyone,
I took Buddy to the Vet today, and it is a Lymph Gland that is swollen in his neck. He did a CBC and it was normal so he put him on Clavamox (Antibiotic) and Rymadyl (Anti inflamatory) for about 10 days just to see if if the swelling goes down and if it doesn't go down we will do a needle biopsy and if that comes back inconclusive we will go with surgery. I pray that it goes down this week and that it isn't something worse. He is only one and a half years old and the vet did metion cancer but we will hope for the best. I will keep everyone posted and as soon as my camera is fixed I will post pics of him.

P.S. I love this site and have learned quite a bit about the Boxer breed.
